USA Today calls the National Butterfly Center, in Mission, Texas, "the butterfly capitol of the USA." This 100-acre nature center on the banks of the Rio Grande River is the flagship project of the North American Butterfly Association. Now, the largest native plant botanical garden in the United States, the center continues to return this former onion field to beneficial habitat for for butterflies, birds and wildlife. Make sure to visit often, to see the greatest volume and variety of wild, free-flying butterflies in the nation!
